Old Down Manor is such a beautiful venue and one of my favourites to decorate with flowers. Jess and James were a delight to work with. We filled Old Down Manor with an array of seasonal flowers including the ever popular hydrangea and peonies. The day was captured by the lovely Rebecca Faith Photography whose images are as beautiful as she is. Rebecca is also a recommended supplier at Old Down Manor and knows the venue extremely well.
Taking inspiration from the Bridesmaids nude coloured dresses, we chose a colour palette of ivory, nude and pale pink tones with limited foliage for her flowers. This created an elegant, timeless feel to the wedding flowers.
Jess wanted to add impact to Old Down Manor with the flowers. So we decided to use arrangements in key places, such as dramatic table centres and a beautiful decorated staircase.
We’re often asked to decorate the staircase at Old Down Manor, which is one of our favourite things to do. There are so many different ways the staircase can be decorated that the designs are never the same. At first Jess was leaning towards having just foliage on the staircase but after seeing some of our creations she decided that perhaps it was a case of ‘go big or go home’ and we’re so glad she did.
Jess and James’ wedding was an intimate affair sharing their day with close family and friends. We decided that best way to make use of their budget was to create 3 stunning high arrangements on our bespoke gold high risers. These created impact in the Orangery and contrasted beautiful with the other tables which were decorated with lanterns provided by Jess.
The cake was made by a family friend, it’s design was so beautiful and elegant that the only decoration it needed was a single peony just to finish it off.
