When Laura and Matt booked their early summer wedding at Cripps Barn in The Cotswolds. They had no idea that they would share their wedding date with Royalty! It was a perfect early summer day. The sun was shining with plenty of blue skies
Style and Colour Pallette
Laura loved flowers and having completed a short floristry course herself she wanted Cripps Barn to be filled with an abundance of flowers. After a detailed consultation and an onsite visit at Cripps Barn. Laura opted for flower heavy designs with little foliage. Her colour scheme was white, pale blue and a touch of peach. We included seasonal flowers of hydrangeas which were a must, peonies, delphiniums, lily of the valley, astilbe, roses and spray roses.
Laura requested a flower heavy shower bouquet to be filled with her favourite blooms. We added homegrown lily of the valley as we guessed it may have been included in Meghan’s bouquet and we weren’t wrong! Laura’s bridesmaids carried simple bouquets of all white peonies.
Cripps Barn Floral Decoration
We decorated the wedding breakfast at Cripps Barn with a mixture of tall candelabras and low pedestal vases filled with flowers. This gave a beautiful layered feel to the room and adds lots of interest at different levels.
Cripps Barn is a fabulous Cotswold Barn to dress with flowers, Laura opted for an arch of flowers around the barn doors, very in keeping with Royalty!
The beams we decorated with foliage to add interest to the room and some colour to the wood.
Emma from Bake my Cake provided the most gorgeous cake which fitted in perfectly with the design and colour scheme. It fitted in with the Cripps Barn perfectly.
The final installation was on the large stone fireplace in Cripps Barn. We created this design with blousy hydrangeas, roses, peonies and spray roses, a real focal point.
The whole day was captured beautifully by Cotswold photographer, Captured By Katrina who is always a huge pleasure to work with and her images are breathtaking!
