I have the most beautiful wedding at Tortworth Court to share with you on the blog today. Georgina and Fraser were married in the stunning Orangery back in August. Both the bride and groom were ex-ballerinas and their wedding reflected their love of ballet throughout.
I first met with the couple back in 2020 a year before the wedding. They had travelled to view Tortworth as they had fallen in love with the orangery, which suited their wedding perfectly. It’s really important for me to listen to couples and their stories. I then use this inspiration to suggest flowers and designs that work with their wedding and represent them. G&F had met whilst studying ballet in London and although neither of them dance professional now it was an important aspect of their story. G chose a neutral colour palette of blush pinks and ivory tones using flowers with a delicate feel. This tied in with G’s stunning dress perfectly (seriously wedding dress goals right there!) and her bridesmaids who were wearing a delicate colour of sage green.
With it being a summer wedding we opted for lots of gorgeous bloom in ivory and blush tones including my favourite white o’hara roses, sweet peas, veronica and astilbe along with other seasonal flowers
The ceremony and wedding breakfast were to be held in the Orangery at Tortworth Court so we focussed all the florals in this area. Above the entrance door we constructed a beautiful display of flowers whilst the aisle was decorated with posy of flowers tied to the chairs with delicate organza ribbon. The ceremony table had a natural display of flowers which would later be used for the top table.
After the ceremony the Orangery at Tortworth Court was turned around for the wedding breakfast. The guests were seating at round tables with elegant displays of flowers in low footed bowls surrounded by dinner candles in our glass holders. This accompanied with the stationary looked stunning and elegant.
It was an absolute pleasure to be part of G & F’s stunning wedding at Tortworth Court. They were so full of fun and their characters came out in so many parts of the wedding, it was amazing to see their fairy tale come to life.
A huge thank you to the lovely Natasha from Honeydew Moments for supplying and capturing the most incredible images. This was the first time i have worked with Natasha, I was totally blown away by her work and just what a lovely person she is.
